About World Migratory Bird Day

World Migratory Bird Day this year brings awareness to the impact that plastics is having on migratory birds and how simple and fun actions can have a positive impact! This year's theme is Birds Connect Our World. We encourage everyone to explore the routes migratory birds take across the globe, and consider the threats they face along the way. Take a minute to appreciate all the tracking efforts and communities on the ground working to protect bird species!

After 25 years, International Migratory Bird Day becomes World Migratory Bird Day, joining with partners across the globe to unify our voices for bird conservation. this year, Nature Canada is pleased to partner with Environment for the Americas on World Migratory Bird Day! For more information, please visit http://www.environmentamericas.org/imbd/, and for more information specific to the World Migratory Bird Day, click here!
